Anna Dowden
Anna Dowden
Anna's totally original offbeat designs exactly exemplify the style of Hare & Bear Designs. All her pieces are done in pen and ink first and then coloured with aquarelle crayons. Her 'characters' are unusual individuals, with immense charm and sometimes not a little menace!! We have tried to group these offerings but we're sure you will understand that we wanted to offer you, for instance, 'Poke, Prod, Haddock.' but it didn't fit a standard category so we created one called 'Odd, Curiosity Cards' for all the 'odd' ones (and you can't get much odder than giraffes exchanging saucepans!).

As well as being an amazing graphic artist, Anna is better known as the singer-songwriter annA rydeR and you could visit her music website too.
Muriel Mallows
Muriel Mallows
Over the years, Muriel has worked in many media, oils, watercolours, pencil, pen and printmaking. Her work has been exhibited many times at a variety of galleries across the UK and at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions including 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Muriel now works mainly in oils and is happy to undertake portrait and illustration commissions, although natural forms and the human variety and vitality of city life generally inspire her work. It?s this compulsion to record the ?interesting? moments of everyday life, which have driven her to keep illustrated notebooks and diaries over many, many years. Hare and Bear Designs have had access to these treasures and her card collection is the result. Three of the cards are back and front prints as they covered two pages from a notebook with the join at the crease of the card.
